Texture engine hi heat paint spray is most popular paint to touch up or repaint Harley Davidson and many others engine bike on the market.

The hi heat engine color spray or liquid is fuel resistant after 12 hours but we suggest to wait 2 days, not because necessary but just to be sure that the job will be untouchable. 

Engine high heat texture paint black matt is not suitable to paint exaust, but is good to paint frame, wheels, other metals, plastic parts or interior and industrial design objects.

How to apply texture deep black matt

Application is the same for spray can and liquid version 2K

First of all clean well the engine parts, wash all pieces, dry well, remove oxide or other dirty spots and clean with our DEGREASER STRONG

Application of primer is necessary, if you decide do not use it is at your own risk!

Now apply our primer 1K SPRAY or 2K LIQUID  with one dry coat and one or two wet coats every 5/10 minutes. At the end wait 30 or 40 minutes and start to apply the paint direct over primer with wet on wet system.

Wet on wet means that it is not necessary to sand the primer. Just if you wait more than one hour we suggest to wait another hour, sand the surface and apply the color.

Application of the Texture paint is one medium coat and every 15 minutes other two wet coats.

At the end wait until it become matt (time is not important just it must become matt) and start to apply super dry coats to create the real texture engine paint effect Harley Davidson.

How to have the real texture engine black matt effect

Application is the same for spray can and liquid version 2K

If you want the real texture effect you must understand what means super dry coat, to do this please read the following suggests.

First stay far from the pieces more than you are when you paint, for example 50 cm.

Now start to pull the trigger of spray gun just for 4/5% or less if necessary, spray the paint as it is powder.

This help you to apply just powder color on the surface of the engine pieces.

Apply one super dry coat and wait 5 minutes or help yourself to dry this paint layer with heat gun.

Now apply another super dry coat and make the same process

Generally to have a very good result you must apply 4 or 5 super dry coats but this is up to you.

Look at the original pieces and apply the paint as you need to have the same effect of original engine paint.

The final effect will the result of all super dry layer you'll apply.

Dry time

Dry time of engine hi heat texture paint is at room temperature and no need to be baked at high temperature.

- Touch free spray can and liquid 2K 1/2 hours (during winter 2k could be 3 hours)

- Good to assemble the pieces 12 hours for spray can or liquid 2K

- Totally fuel resistant after 2 days (suggest timing but not necessary really because after 12 hours in summer is ok)
